Community Foundation Updates

The El Paso Community Foundation is excited to announce that after 52 years, over 137,000 letters of support, countless hours of work from congresspeople, community members, staff and volunteers, President Joe Biden is expected to name Castner Range a National Monument at the White House Conservation in Action Summit in Washington D.C. He is expected to sign the designation at today’s event.

El Paso’s The Golden Groove program will cover the gamut, from blues to bebop.

Texas Book Festival in partnership with El Paso Community Foundation presents TELLING OUR STORIES: MARIA HINOJOSA, IN CONVERSATION WITH BOB MOORE OF EL PASO MATTERS on March 24th at Philanthropy Theatre, followed by a ticketed reception after.

In an effort to help these people– who have left their homes to flee even worse conditions, including violence and profound poverty– the El Paso Community Foundation has made grants to the following community organizations, who are leaders in these efforts, and we encourage you to do the same. The Border Art Residency offers a selected artist a period of retreat for creative work in a living/studio space in the heart of El Paso, Texas. Resident artists are provided with a fully furnished living/working space, a monthly stipend, and utilities paid.
