Establishing a charitable fund in the El Paso Community Foundation is a thoughtful way to create a positive impact. Your fund can focus on community issues, regional opportunities, or issues that are near to your heart. The Community Foundation administers grants for nearly 600 individual funds of varying types. The following are examples of funds that can be established with the Community Foundation.
As the most flexible fund, you are suggesting grants to the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors and then, after your lifetime, entrusting the board to prudently spend the distributions based on the greatest needs in the community.
Every year, you direct the course of your charity. At the end of your life, you’ll have left a record of your giving, which will inform the Community Foundation in perpetuity.
These funds specify a particular nonprofit organization to benefit from this endowment. You’ll be able to take advantage of the Community Foundation’s excellent endowment management services. Income is distributed annually to the nonprofit you choose.
These funds generate income to address issues you care about, such as education, the environment, or the arts. Field of Interest funds are defined by the donor.
Scholarships provide tuition assistance and help cover related expenses for students at any college, university, or private school.
