Help us celebrate GivingTuesday!

The El Paso Community Foundation is joining the global movement that unleashes the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Help us celebrate GivingTuesday, today, November 28, 2023 by making a donation to one of the El Paso Community Foundation’s funds, projects or affiliate organizations devoted to making the El Paso borderland a better place.

These are only a few examples that represent the enormous strides in cultivating a stronger community:

La Nube – This world-class children’s museum will be a one-of-a-kind facility designed especially for El Paso’s culture and people. The construction of La Nube is moving forward. Once complete, four floors and 70,000 square feet of interactive exhibits will be open for exploring, learning, and having fun! Atop the museum will be a rippling succession of barrel vaults that soar to a cloud-like crown, similar to the clouds in the Borderplex’s deep blue sky. We ask you to consider an end-of-year, tax-deductible donation that will help the center and its exhibitions for years to come. For more information on how to give, please visit la-nube.org

Spirit of Giving – Our 35th annual campaign is here, and our trees are up at Cielo Vista Mall, the Shoppes at Solana, and our virtual tree is live at SpiritofGiving.EPCF.org. They are adorned with snowflake-shaped tags bearing the stories of people in our region who are served by more than twenty area nonprofits. Just choose a tag of the story that moves you, sponsor the gift, and we will ensure that it is delivered. Over the years, more than 67,000 gifts have been delivered to children, older adults and people with special needs – those that might otherwise go without a gift this holiday season. Visit SpiritofGiving.EPCF.org to spread the holiday spirit!

Wyler Aerial Tramway – The iconic 60-year-old attraction, the only tramway in Texas, will be reimagined as a bigger and better experience. A public survey found strong support for the return of the shuttered tramway. The El Paso Community Foundation is helping raise funds to bring back its spectacular views of three states and two countries. Donate at epcf.org/tramway.

Vision in Action – Established by Pastor Jose Antonio Galvan in 1995, the Vision in Action Mental Health Sanctuary provided care for individuals who were living on the streets of Juarez and primarily serves those grappling with mental illness. On average, the sanctuary serves about 100 people a month, providing a range of care that can include shelter, food, clothes, and treatment. Visit epcf.org/visioninaction to donate or learn more.

These are only a few examples of the many funds and projects that drive the many causes we care about in the bordeplex region. Visit epcf.org/give/donate to donate by specific fund name, category or even initiate change by starting your own fund for GivingTuesday!
