In 2018, the El Paso Community Foundation launched the Migrant Families Relief Fund to support local nonprofits in providing essential services including food, shelter, and transportation to migrant families arriving in our region.
At this moment, we are supporting the critical, ongoing humanitarian efforts of Border Servant Corps (BSC) in coordination with local partners. Right now, Border Servant Corps (BSC) urgently needs our help to continue their vital humanitarian efforts. To be clear, even with new immigration policies, BSC’s work continues every day at the two largest migrant shelters in southern New Mexico and west Texas.
In addition to receiving families from Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, BSC also continues to receive all migrants entering the U.S. via scheduled appointments through the CBP One™ program in El Paso, where migrants complete their expedited work permits to quickly become self-sufficient members of society.
Funding to provide food, shelter, clothing, medical assistance, and transportation is critical to continue supporting migrants – half of which are children – every day.
By Sunday, June 30, 2024, BSC’s ability to receive and assist migrants may cease due to recent federal funding changes.
Your contribution is essential to preventing the loss of these fundamental humanitarian services.
Thank you for your meaningful donation to ensure migrants released in the borderlands continue to be received with dignity and respect.
