The El Paso Community Foundation is pleased to announce the approval of our application for a new Texas specialty license plate featuring Guadalupe Mountains National Park.
For every license plate purchased, $22 will be used from the $30/year cost to provide funding to the El Paso Community Foundation to be used solely for the benefit of Guadalupe Mountains National Park. This includes trail and other park improvements, habitat conservation, site and species recovery and historic preservation as well as youth and interpretation programs.
The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department has agreed to serve as the state sponsor for the specialty plate and we are thankful for their assistance.
The artwork for the Guadalupe Mountains National Park specialty plate was beautifully designed by local artist, Mitsu Overstreet. It features a painting of El Capitan, the southernmost point of the Guadalupe Mountains. Its imposing height and stark outline have made it an iconic image for generations of travelers.
