Zapateados will return to the Plaza Theatre stage (125 W Mills Ave) for one performance only on Saturday, August 12 at 8 pm.
Last seen in 2003, this dance extravaganza features an Aztec ritual, intense matachines, fiery flamenco, a romantic ballet pas de deux, evocative Mexican folklórico, a lively western hoedown, and a high-kicking cancan. A guitarist and singers will round out the program which is produced by Eden Performing Arts, directed by Artistic Director, Hector Serrano with choreography by Enrique Avila and Ouisa Davis.
All seating is reserved. Orchestra level center tickets are $25 for adults; $20 for students and seniors; and $15 for children ages 2 to 12. Tickets on the sides are $20/$15/$10. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Plaza Theatre Box Office in downtown at 125 Pioneer Plaza (M-F, 10am-3pm and three hours prior to show time). Tickets for groups of 10 or more in selected sections are available for $10 by calling (808) 443-9452. All tickets will include an additional $4 facility charge. After August 1, all prices will increase by $5 per ticket. Tickets are also available online at www.ticketmaster.com, (additional fees will apply).
