Cryptocurrency Donations

Now it’s even easier to donate to the El Paso Community Foundation. Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. This makes Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency donations one of the most tax-efficient ways to support your favorite cause. You can donate Bitcoin, Ethereum, ChainLink, Litecoin, and more. When you donate cryptocurrency, we immediately transfer your coins to fiat.

Please note: all cryptocurrency donations made to EPCF are non-refundable.

You can choose one of the following projects to donate your cryptocurrency. Please enter your choice in the comment box of our crypto-widget. To make a general donation to the El Paso Community Foundation, please use “Other.”

*La Nube, the new children’s museum and science center

La Nube will be an integral part of the educational ecosystem of our community. It will be an educational institution open to every member of the community. The new museum will be designed specifically to maximize open-ended and imaginative play and exploration. It will be a true community asset, among the best children’s museums in the nation, but designed especially for El Paso by the esteemed architecture firm Snohetta. The museum is under construction now, with a 2023 completion expected, and will be located in the heart of El Paso’s Downtown Arts District.

Sponsorships, naming rights, and other funding opportunities are available. Please email tpassero@epcf.org for more info.
