The Classroom Fund

The El Paso Community Foundation established The Classroom Fund to support innovation and program enhancement. The fund is used to provide requested materials to teachers — from both public and private schools — in El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico.

The fund directly supports teachers who often buy basic supplies and extras for their classrooms from their own limited salaries. By providing requested materials and delivering them directly to the teachers, the teachers are able to incorporate arts and physical education into everyday curricula.

The Classroom Fund has been a project of the Foundation since 2011, and is funded in partnership with Price’s Give ’em Five Fund, KVIA ABC7, and the El Paso Times.
