Chalk the Block

Chalk the Block is a three-day public arts festival that draws crowds of more than 40,000. Started in 2008 as a collaboration between the City of El Paso Museums & Cultural Affairs Department and the Foundation, the event features 200 local, national and international artists from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. The family-friendly event boasts temporary art installations, live music, a sidewalk chalk art competition, live theatrical and dance performances, art and food vendors and access to exhibits in the El Paso Museum of Art and El Paso History Museum.
