Border Tuner

Border Tuner was an interactive art installation created by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. The installation was situated on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border and open to the public. Three stations on each side controlled powerful searchlights that, when directed at a corresponding searchlight at the opposite station, activated speakers and microphones allowing for cross-border communication.

The installation was open November 13 - 24, 2019 at night from 6:30 to 11:00.
