The El Paso Community Foundation has created three funds to assist laid-off workers, distressed nonprofits, and outpatient healthcare workers who desperately need personal protection equipment. You can donate to the following funds:
The Coronavirus Fund will help people and nonprofits adversely affected by the pandemic.
The El Paso County Medical Society COVID-19 Masks and PPE Fund will help raise money to purchase much-needed N95 respirator masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for outpatient physicians and healthcare workers.
Get Shift Done for El Paso is a new effort to provide paid employment — at $10 an hour for laid-off restaurant employees — and help fill essential jobs at nonprofits serving our region’s most vulnerable. Restaurant and hospitality workers who’ve been laid off may apply for paid shifts at the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank and getshiftdone.org/elpaso.
