EPCF, Project Bravo partner to help those hardest hit by pandemic

The El Paso Community Foundation is partnering with Project Bravo to help those who are having trouble paying for groceries, medication or other basic needs because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The El Paso Community Card Program issues pre-paid MasterCard debit cards to qualifying applicants severely impacted by COVID-19, particularly those who have lost their jobs, are ineligible for unemployment benefits, or have someone in their household who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Each El Paso Community Card is a one-time payment worth up to $1,000 and may be used only for groceries, medications and basic household needs.

The El Paso Community Card Program is available to residents of the City of El Paso and El Paso County. It is funded with CARES Act funds designated by the city and county governments.

Applications may be made at projectbravo.org. Go to its COVID-19 resources page.
