Victor M. Firth was a native El Pasoan who came up through public schools and earned his B.B.A. with highest honors in 1981 from the University of Texas at El Paso and his J.D. from the University of Texas in 1984. In 1986 he married his law school classmate, Sylvia Borunda.
Victor was an athlete, through and through. He ran marathons, refereed NCAA bowl games, officiates collegiate football (working post-season Bowl games) and participates in marathons, and other endurance events.
Victor died May 17, 2023. He was 63. He is survived by his wife of 36+ years, Sylvia Borunda Firth.
He and Sylvia made a huge professional impact on this community, serving the public good in many aspects. Donations in his memory will go to the Sylvia Borunda Firth and Victor Firth Fund in the El Paso Community Foundation.
