Fundación Punta de Mita is a community foundation on the west coast of Mexico, with a mission to promote sustainable community development in the Punta de Mita area. Additionally, we support other nonprofits and grassroots groups along the Bay with a focus on areas of Education, Health, Environment and Community Participation. We invite you to join us and be part of the change in Mexico!

Your donations will help us to further this mission in one or all of the following programs:

SUPPORT FOR OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS – We provide grants and training for teachers and parents to the 11 public schools in three semi-rural communities around Punta de Mita.

COMPAS: YOUTH FOR THE FUTURE - We work with youth in two high schools to successfully complete their education and prepare for the workforce through economic support, regular one-on-one and family guidance, monthly team-building and leadership development.

LA SALUD EN TUS MANOS - (Health in your Hands) We build partnerships between families, healthcare providers and local government to make information about self- and family care more accessible in the Punta de Mita area.

LOCAL SPORTS CENTER – We administer and provide maintenance for a safe, green, well-kept area for local sports teams and community networking. In 2020 we will launch upgrades and spaces for new activities.

ECO-MITA – We provide grants and guidance for community groups who promote environmental awareness, education and protection.

DEL MAR COMMUNITY CENTER – We provide a space and a family-centered model for children’s activities and adult education, including recycling, art, music, computers, cooking, and handicrafts.

REGIONAL SUPPORT – We provide training, grants and guidance to other nonprofits and community groups in Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas.
