Mary Navarrete-Gonzalez-Moeller was born and raised in El Paso, Texas where she graduated from El Paso High School. She later obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Texas at El Paso while raising her three children. Mary worked as a teacher with 40 years of service in the El Paso Independent School District (Bliss Elementary, Wiggs Middle School, and Armendariz Middle School). She was passionate about her work and the impact she made to many of her young students lives. Finally, Mary served as the science department chair for years where she mentored dozens of teachers during her tenure.
The Mary Navarrete-Gonzalez-Moeller Fund specifically supports teachers and those pursuing a career as teachers. The Fund is managed by the El Paso Community Foundation, which has successfully and economically directed charitable donations into causes that further the well-being of the community (epcf.org). Your donation is tax deductible.
