Tolteca Chicano, Mexican Palm, $300
The carvings I create are influenced by ancestral patterns from Mesoamerica. Wood as a medium reminds me of the universal relationship, we have with each other across the globe as peoples of the Earth. Each piece has a unique story.
Some have been hollowed to be used as functional planters, others are culturally charged and most serve as guardians of a place.
I am a designer plus builder of landscapes and homesteads including small-scale farming, rainwater harvesting, adobe construction and rock work.
All my work is dedicated to Tlaloc (Tlalli meaning Earth + Octli meaning sweet water = when rain touches earth).
