Efren Jimenez Memorial Fund

Efren was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, embodying numerous roles during his brief time on earth. His life was tragically cut short due to a drive-by shooting on what was his final day as a junior at Irvin High School. A talented drum player in the Irvin band, Efren had a passion for music and was known for his infectious sense of humor, often bringing joy and laughter to those around him. More significantly, he was recognized for his compassionate and generous nature.

In his memory, the law firm of Flores Mendez Law, founded by his younger sister Connie Jimenez Flores, has established a trust to provide assistance to students at Irvin High School. This trust will specifically support individuals under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, which guarantees educational rights for children and youth experiencing homelessness.

Efren’s family finds solace in knowing that his name and memory will be forever linked to a cause that benefits deserving recipients. They hope that this trust will serve as a lasting reminder of the importance of kindness and compassion—values that Efren wholeheartedly believed in and embodied.
