Cuchilla Deslumbrante, $1,500
Mixed Media
7x2.8x2
2023
A recent Masters’s degree in Museum Studies for Curation graduate from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s in Studio Art from the University of Rio Grande Valley. Art has always been the center of Bianca’s universe, whether creating it herself, curating other people’s work, or simply admiring it. Since graduating with her master’s, her work has deftly taken an evolutionary change, giving it greater depth in the reasoning behind her new work rather than just for visual pleasure. Working in mixed media, Bianca uses whatever she can at her disposal, which is about anything. She pushes her limits each time with new and research-based work to reach audiences wanting to know more about why Bianca chooses to pursue this in her career. Seeing herself as Chicana, she wants to create a platform for more young Chicanas and Chicanos to take an interest in their indigenous background through the power of art as our ancestors did.
