Communities for Peace - El Paso Community Foundation | Grants, Scholarships, and Philanthropy Services

Communities For Peace is an historic partnership of El Paso Opera, El Paso Pro-Musica, the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, and The University of Texas at El Paso Department of Music to commission a 22-minute cantata in honor of the victims of the horrific mass shooting in El Paso on August 3, 2019. The collaboration is raising money for the commission. Cuban-American composer Jorge Martin is writing the piece, which has a working title of El Paso Requiem.
