The El Paso Community Foundation created funds to address the coronavirus pandemic’s impact on the El Paso area. You can donate to the following funds:
• Get Shift Done for El Paso provides paid employment — at $10 an hour — for laid-off restaurant employee while filling essential jobs at nonprofits serving our region’s most vulnerable. Restaurant and hospitality workers who’ve been laid off may apply for paid shifts at the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank and getshiftdone.org/elpaso.
• The El Paso County Medical Society COVID-19 Masks and PPE Fund raises money to purchase much-needed N95 respirator masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for outpatient physicians and healthcare workers.
• EPCF partnered with Feed the Frontline, El Paso to expand the first clinician meal-support program in El Paso. The initiative uses donations to purchase and deliver meals from local, financially challenged restaurants to feed area hospital staff — FREE of charge.
• The El Paso-Juarez Unidos vs. COVID-19 fund will help public hospitals in Ciudad Juarez address shortages of critical personal protective equipment.
The Coronavirus Fund will help people and nonprofits adversely affected by the pandemic.
