The El Paso Community Foundation’s 28th annual Spirit of Giving campaign is branching out all over town — at Cielo Vista Mall, Sunland Park Mall, five GECU locations and online at spiritofgiving.epcf.org.
The El Paso Community Foundation’s virtual Spirit of Giving tree is an easy and anonymous way to give a gift to someone who really needs it. Simply click the tag of the story that moves you and pay for the gift. The El Paso Community Foundation will ensure that it is delivered.
You also can print the tag, purchase the gift, wrap it and deliver it, with the tag, to our office at 333 N. Oregon St. on the 2nd Floor. Our office hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Mondays through Friday. The drop-off deadline for gifts is Monday, December 19.
Spirit of Giving trees are located at Cielo Vista Mall, Sunland Park Mall, and five GECU locations: Viscount and Airway (also a MEMBERS Trust location); Rojas and Zaragoza; Vista del Sol and Yarbrough; Transmountain and Dyer; and Helen of Troy and Resler.
The trees are adorned with tags that represent the stories of people — children, elderly, and disabled — in need. Pick a tag, buy a gift, wrap it with the tag, and return it to the location where you purchased it. Drop-off deadline is December 16 at all locations except Sunland Park Mall, which is December 21.
More than 53,000 gifts have been distributed since 1989, when the El Paso Community Foundation joined with nonprofits, malls, churches and local media to help those in need at Christmas.
The El Paso Community Foundation’s Spirit of Giving is sponsored by Cielo Vista Mall/Simon Malls, Sunland Park Mall, GECU/MEMBERS Trust Company, KTSM NewsChannel 9 and iHeartRadio of El Paso.
