Last two Jewel Box Series shows postponed

The El Paso Community Foundation Jewel Box Series at the Philanthropy Theatre has postponed the final two shows of its sixth season out of an abundance of caution concerning the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Eden Enterprises’ Classic Campesino</i> was scheduled for April 19 in the Philanthropy Theatre in the Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Centre complex.

The Southwest Songwriter Series was set for May 10 in the Philanthropy.

Both shows will be rescheduled for the Jewel Box Series’ 2020-2021 season.

Classic Campesino was to feature two classic one-acts by playwright Luis Valdez.

The Southwest Songwriter Series was to showcase singer-songwriters Doug Adamz, Teresa Tudury and Gene Keller.

Individual ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase. Ticket holders also may keep their tickets for use at the rescheduled performances.

Season ticket holders should call or email Kathrin Berg at 915-533-4020 or kberg@epcf.org for more information.

The Jewel Box Series is produced in partnership with El Paso Live. The 191-seat Philanthropy Theatre is located above the Plaza Theatre box office on the second floor of the Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Centre annex.

Submissions for the Jewel Box Series’ 2020-2021 season should be available this summer.
