El Paso Cares to benefit Migrant Families Relief Fund

Retired District Judge Kathleen H. Olivares will host El Paso Cares — Liberty for All!, a fundraiser for the Migrant Families Relief Fund, from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, October 27 at Tricky Falls, 209 S. El Paso St.
Tickets for the all-ages event, which celebrates the 132nd anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, is $10 for children, $20 for adults, available at the door or online at payments.epcf.org/families.
T-shirts and posters also will be for sale.
Our Friend the Mountain, Sangre Gitana and Dulce Mal will perform.
The event also will include a cash bar, silent auction and door prizes.
All proceeds from the El Paso Cares event will be disbursed from the Migrant Families Relief Fund in the El Paso Community Foundation to the following community-based organizations that are leading the effort to meet the growing needs of migrant children and adults:
• Annunciation House, which provides refuge and transportation needs to migrants
• Detained Migrant Solidarity Committee, which helps reunite migrant families
• Diocesan Migrant & Refugee Services, which provides legal services to immigrant children separated from their families
• Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center, which provides legal services to migrants and parents eparated from their families.
All credit card and administrative fees are being waived by the Community Foundation — 100% of donations will pass through to provide direct services.
