TCF was created in 2011 as a special project of the El Paso Community Foundation. It provides requested classroom materials directly to educators in the El Paso and Las Cruces areas.

It is open to full-time, pre-K through 12th grade educators. That includes public or private school teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, school nurses, and full-time teachers who may also act as coaches. You must spend at least 75% of your time working directly with students.

Requests must be for materials your students will use or experience directly.

Grants will be for $1,000 or less.

Grant recipients are required to follow up with a report on the use of materials through photographs, video or a written letter.

The deadline for grant applications is June 10, 2018.

Grant requests are reviewed by The Classroom Fund Review Committee and are approved based on merit and available funds. The requested materials are ordered by the El Paso Community Foundation and available for pickup at our offices, 333 N. Oregon.

A total of 59 grants were made in 2017.

A list of grant recipients will be announced the week of July 2, 2018.
