The El Paso Community Foundation convenes a group of organizations that share a common vision to improve animal well-being and policies in the El Paso region. The goal is to utilize the collective strength of the participating organizations to exact meaningful outcomes for the animal community.

Known as The El Paso Animal Collaborative, the group includes the following organizations:

• El Paso County Animal Welfare Department

• Paws for Love
• Pet Guardian Angel
• Second Chance Wildlife Rescue

The group meets quarterly and allows for a dialogue across the groups to brainstorm solutions to these animal issues. The group is has accomplished and currently working on the following initiatives:

• “Animal 915,” a one-page document to improve communication with the public and have consistent messaging across all organizations.

• A collective pilot project that will make the group eligible for larger grant monies that can be utilized for future projects.
